EDI/400 for the AS/400

EDI/400 is completely integrated with AS/400 features such as the database and communications. EDI/400 maintains the data flow at the document level and batch/ communications level. You can choose to send, transla te, or retransmit a single transaction set/ message or entire batch.

Translation and Standards

• Supports all domestic (ANSI) and international (EDIFACT, TRADACOMS, ODETTE) standards and their subsets, including AIAG, CIDEX, EDS, VICS, UCS, WINS, TDCC, and HEDIC. Proprietary formats and non-delimited (fixed format) documents are also supported.

• Translates and maps an element based on another element recieved in the same segment using EDI/400's conditional mapping capability.*

• Creates an element in an outgoing document from two or more non-consecutive fields in your user file using catenation. Decatenation enables you to split data within an incoming element and place the data into separate fields in your user file.*
